Santa Muerte Hoodie
This is the Mexican folk saint: Santa Muerte. She is the saint of the outcasts of society: the poor, the victims, the forgotten, as well as the prostitutes, drug lords, and drug addicts. But she has also taken on a protective role of social outcasts within Mexican culture, being adopted by pockets of the LGBT movement.
I became really fascinated by her recently when I heard the Vatican officially decreed she is not a saint and worship of her is blasphemous. I think it is a powerful symbol with rich associations.
Wear this hoodie and bring Santa Muerte wherever you go. (Maybe even the Vatican?)
